What are the characteristics of tarpaulins?

The main functions of tarpaulins are: waterproof, breathable, breathable, insulating, windproof and so on.

In terms of production technology, the technical requirements for waterproof and breathable fabrics are much higher than those of general waterproof fabrics; at the same time, from the perspective of quality, waterproof and breathable fabrics also have functional characteristics that other waterproof fabrics do not have.

The waterproof and breathable fabric strengthens the air tightness and water tightness of the fabric. At the same time, its unique breathability can quickly discharge water vapor inside the structure, avoid the growth of mold in the structure, and keep the human body always dry, which perfectly solves the problem of ventilation and windproof, waterproof and warmth. And other issues, it is a new type of healthy and environmentally friendly fabric.

At present, there are mainly four popular waterproof materials: PE, PU, TPU, and PTFE.

Working principle: In the state of water vapor, the water particles are very small. According to the principle of capillary movement, they can penetrate the capillary tube to the other side smoothly, and vapor transmission occurs. When the water vapor condenses and turns into water droplets, the particles become larger. Due to the surface tension of the water droplets (the water molecules "pull against each other"), the water molecules cannot smoothly escape from the water droplets and penetrate to the other side, which is to prevent Water infiltration occurs, giving the vapor permeable membrane a waterproof function.
